'2024 Cars Campaign'

This campaign captures our love for character-driven storytelling, blending radiant CG animation with refined design sensibilities to create vehicles that feel alive, expressive, and deeply relatable. We aimed for the perfect balance between realism and stylization. Our cars remain sleek and modern, with headlights functioning as expressive eyes and mouth movements seamlessly integrated into their bumper trim. The animation prioritizes mechanical authenticity—respecting gravity and hydraulics—while allowing room for nuanced performance and character personality. Our human characters, diverse and distinct, complement their automotive counterparts with detailed textures, naturalistic proportions, and expressive, dialogue-driven interactions.

Ever been on a long road trip and pulled into a gas station to fill up? It's a moment we've all experienced, but what if your car could talk? What stories would it tell? That's the heart of Chevron's World.

One of the most rewarding challenges was bridging the expressive energy of the 2D character sketches with the realities of a fully rigged 3D pipeline. Every smile, squint, and lean had to feel as effortless as the drawings, while remaining flexible enough for animation.

"Every great story has a color story. Through color keys, we discover how light, atmosphere, and palette can carry emotion before a word is spoken."
